Your passphrase derives a key on your device using Argon2id. A 24-word recovery phrase backs that up. Trusted contacts hold cryptographically split shares that can reconstruct your vault key together. We hold no key, no shares, no passphrase. We cannot recover the vault if all three layers are lost, which is the trade-off for a privacy guarantee that holds against subpoena, breach, and bad actors.
